New Californication Season

I have had a lot of fun watching this TV-series during the last two seasons of Californication. On sunday evening we will be able to follow Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny from The X-Files, on his adventures once again on the channel Showtime. The show revolves around Hank. He is a writer, who is experiencing a writers blog and he has divorced his wife Karen, played by Natascha McElhone. Together they have the teenage daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) who is a weird little girl. Hank drowns his sorrow by drinking and partying with his manager Charlie Runkel (Evan Handler) which results in a lot of drama. Hank is very popular with the Californian women, who likes his "I don't give a damn" attitude.

If you haven't seen the first two seasons on TV you can purchase them both in your local DVD store and catch up with the show. Each season contains 12 episodes, lasting about 20-25 minutes each. The Show is created by Tom Kapinos who has worked on Dawsons Creek before and Gina Fattore who also has been working on Dawsons Creek and on Gilmore Girls. Also involved are Daisy Gardner, Gabriel Roth and Eric Weinberg who has worked on 30 Rock and Scrubs. The series is show at the ShowTime TV channel.

..that the three books Hank Moody has written in the show are all names taken from metal band Slayers albums? They are called South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss, and God Hates Us All.

...that the word Californication is a compound of the two words California and Fornication. It originates from a popular bumpersticker in Oregon in the 70s and 80s that read "Don't Californicate Oregon". The name has also been used as an album title for rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers 1999 album?

...that David Duchovny won a Golden Globe award for best performance by an actor in 2008 and the show has also won an Emmy Award in 2008 for Outstanding Cinematography.
